Knox's Baby Shop
I’m officially on a single-hand countdown to meeting baby number 2! No better to time to put my feet up and my hands to the keyboard to tell you more about Knox’s Baby Shop, Kilkeel. As one of their new Brand Ambassadors, I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of meeting with the lovely staff and picking a few baby bits for our newest arrival. More on that in a sec!
Firstly, let me tell you why you should give this fab baby shop a visit …
Situated on the 2nd floor of the ever popular James Knox & Sons Ltd store in Kilkeel, this hardware and homeware shop, established in 1954 in the heart of the Mournes has been at centre of the local community. A trusted, reputable and much-loved family owned business indeed.
I recall fond memories of many many visits to ‘Knox of Kilkeel’ as a young child with my Mum and my Nanny when we used to caravan in Kilkeel! So what a joy it is to get to work with the nursery store now as we await the arrival of our 2nd little one into our family.
How do you find Knox’s Baby Shop?
Directly opposite the Asda in Kilkeel you’ll see the main store - James Knox & Sons. There is car parking at the back and you can enter the shop through the back door also. On Thursday-Saturday you’ll usually find Southpoint Coffee Co just across the road, serving up delicious coffee and treats - it is well worth stopping by there too!
The baby shop is on the 2nd floor of James Knox & Sons - you can take the stairs or the lift up.
Do take a nosey at the homeware section too, there are always some really lovely pieces. I can also confirm that the Christmas section is now in full swing - I may or may not have already made a purchase there during my last visit!!
In the baby store you’ll find lots of essential items for Mum, baby and nursery. The range of prams is absolutely excellent - you’ll be sure to find one to suit your style and taste.
The staff have a wealth of knowledge to share - no question is too silly - and they are so friendly too. You’ll be put at ease if you (like me!) feel overwhelmed by the amount of “stuff” that comes with welcoming a new baby into the world.
In my most recent visit a few weeks back, I picked up a few lovely bits including a PurFlo room thermometer, a Mamas & Papas playmat and a beautiful toy perfect for tummy time! I have my eye on a WIFI video monitor too!
Keep an eye out over the coming weeks as we welcome our newest tiny human to the world and share some more tips/info in collaboration with Knox’s.
